ProMetall GmbH was founded by Thomas Häusler in 1997. Just one year later it was the market leader for perforated metal sheets in Austria and established itself as am important metal supplier for commercial customers. But that is not all: The acquisition of Metallgitter GmbH in 2002 strengthened the leading role even more and made the company Austria’s leading supplier in the expanded metal sector. Thanks to the expanded product range, especially in the sector façade design, ProMetall became the focus of another target group: architects. Not before long, they relied on (and built with) the robust and visually attractive metal solutions offered by the Austrian company in its varied portfolio. The cooperation with this professional group continued to influence the innovative development and expansion of the company’s range (later gratings, architectural wire mesh and patterned metal sheets were adopted into the production).
Häusler’s approach to lead the company to success by means of small, constant steps, kept paying off and established a solid basis for creative thinking and thinking outside the box of its own market for ProMetall. Häusler recognised the potential Croatia had to offer before anyone else did and established a subsidiary in 2007.

As a company, we consider ourselves a responsible part of something bigger. We want to work with and in society rather than around it. We have supported the Lower Austrian Socio-Pedagogical Care Centre Pottenstein / Children’s and Youth Centre for 10 years in doing valuable work and we get involved in the annual Christmas campaign and campaigns such as “Therapeutic Riding for Disabled People”.

By investing into regional companies and suppliers, we strengthen our economic environment and aim to encourage others to embrace change and to make commitments of their own. Erwerb von Metallgitter GmbH - ProMetall wurde im
Bereich Streckmetalle zum führenden Anbieter in
Österreich. Die Produkterweiterung führte dazu, dass
ProMetall eine neue Zielgruppe – Architekten – vor
allem im Bereich Fassadengestaltung gewann. Die
Kooperation mit dieser Berufsgruppe beeinflusste fortan
sowohl die innovative Entwicklung als auch die
Ausweitung des Sortiments des Unternehmens –
Gitterroste, Architekturdrahtgitter und mustergewalzte
Bleche.
Gründung einer Tochtergesellschaft in Kroatien
In nur 6 Monaten Bauzeit wurde das neue, hochmoderne
Bürogebäude und Zentrallager in Leobersdorf fertiggestellt.
Hier findet sich Platz und Raum für zukünftige, weitere Expansionen.
